What Makes Our Beds Special

Here Are Five Reasons Why Our Beds Are the Perfect Choice for Your Pet...

A memory foam pet bed is an investment in your pet’s comfort and wellbeing. So you need to make sure you’re buying a quality product.

1. Our beds are made of solid foam

Some companies are offering memory foam pet beds made with chipped or shredded foam. I.e scraps that could potentially be mixed in with other types of foam. (You’d never know…) These won’t offer your pet nearly as much comfort or support as he needs. Because a Sleepy Head bed is made of solid foam, it will conform and contour to the shape of your pet, relieving pressure, as it is supposed to do.

2. We don’t skimp on memory foam

Some memory foam beds have as little as 2cm of memory foam, which is barely worthwhile. (Although it can still be sold as a ‘memory foam bed’…) Sleepy Head beds have 5cm of quality memory foam (the upper layer).

Now, some people think the whole bed is made of memory foam. But if it was, your pet would likely sink straight to the floor.

The memory foam layer provides comfort by moulding around your pet. But the support comes from the high density foam base layer.

3. Custom sizes available

Because we have a huge cutting table for making our mattresses, we can also make you a dog bed to any size you need. We’ve made custom beds for bay windows, underneath kitchen worktops, and even an L-shaped bed to fit in a particular spot.

Custom sizes are usually priced at the next size up +£15, unless it’s considerably bigger (or more awkward) than our Large size.

4. Optional waterproof liners

We always recommend investing in a waterproof liner that fits underneath the outer cover. It protects the foam from accidents, spillages, and odours, prolonging the life of the foam.

We can also make liners for our custom-size beds too.

5. Removable and washable covers

Our covers are made of polar fleece, giving them a lovely soft feel. They’re zipped around the base, and can be removed and washed at 40 degrees.

Lots of our customers also invest in a spare cover, so they’re not without one when it’s time to wash it.
